The 2026 Byron Writers Festival is marking 30 years of partnership and will offer special programming including free sessions in partnership with Southern Cross University, along with storytelling and community activities, The Echo reports.
BayFM's Thursday show 'Up The Junction' will feature an exclusive interview ahead of the festival on 6 August, with hosts Pat and Nick interviewing a guest to promote the event.
In separate news, Byron Shire Council has granted Byron Bay's daytime support hub, Fletcher Street Cottage, a 15-year licence to continue operating from its current location at 18 Fletcher Street, The Echo reports. The decision secures the facility's future for the next decade and a half.
