Northern Rivers livestock sales, Woodburn's push to keep community housing, local music performance, and Montgomerys Bridge reopening after months of detours.

The Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange held cattle sales on August 19 with a yarding of 1,250 head, according to IndyNR.

Woodburn is fighting to retain buyback houses in the community, IndyNR reports, as concerns mount about the Reconstruction Authority's slower-than-expected rollout. The town is pushing to preserve these properties for future housing options for local children.

The Haystack Mountain Hermits will perform in Bonalbo on home ground with a recipe-inspired theme, IndyNR says, bringing live music to the area.

Montgomerys Bridge is set to reopen next week, IndyNR reports, finally ending a 16km detour that residents of Ghinni Ghi and Iron Pot Creek Road have navigated during the closure.
