Byron Bay: Vietnam Veterans Ceremony, Tallowood Dirt Pile Plan, Mayoral Fund

Mullumbimby held a commemorative service on 18 August to remember 60,000 Australians who served during the Vietnam War between 1962 and 1975, with the ceremony held at the local cenotaph, The Echo reports.

A temporary dirt pile containing approximately 8,000 cubic metres of material at Tallowood Ridge Estate in Mullumbimby may become permanent following a new application lodged with Byron Council, according to The Echo.

Byron Shire Council is inviting local community groups to apply for funding from its Mayoral Fund to help realise community projects, The Echo reports.
